But then, I think you may want to go for Amsoil instead. I have tried Redline 10W30 and 10W40 before. Its not as good as amsoil.

Ah Lian ahh,
PML told Ahbeng the oil they use is Castrol 0w-40. The CSA also said if cannot find Castrol, Mobil 0w-40 also can use, as long as it is 0w-40. For Ah Lian, they didnt tell you?

Thanks Ah Beng! Aiyah! You know, lah... Ah Lian only drive drive... where got "dirty" my hands doing servicing......
BTW, does everyone follow the routine of waiting for the service light to light up ? Or do servicing say every 6months? As many say how can engine oil tahan more than 6 months? ha?

U know hor....this 25k km oil change thing is kinda like a joke if I look back. For 2 stupid freaking years my 320i was doing that. PML say "ok one, if bmw reccomend like that sure can one" Well in my last oil change at PML(I have a free servicing package with them), the CSA says "Our hot weather cannot have the oil last 25k la, in Europe can, so MR Beng yr matachia has been reset to 12k km(or was it 12.5km?) interval now. What a joke. U mean Europe dont have summer meh?
Anyway I now change every 10k km. I am thinking of using a thinner oil n increasing the oil drain frequency to say every 7k or 8k on the other 335 bcos some say the turbo engine heats up more. There are of cos some hie-hard haidees here who change oil every 5k km despite the economic recession.
