What are the rules for 335 run-in? Was told not to exceed 4k rpm for 1.5k km. Thot it is usually not to exceed 3k rpm for 1k km. For 335, it is easier not to exceed 4k or 3k rpm as the car is already traveling at more than 100km/h at about 2k rpm. Harder when I am first in the queue during a red light at a traffic junction and when there is temptation of a tango between lanes on the expressway.

Re: Run-in 335

Think follow the instruction strictly. I understand the feeling.

I always wanna tango as well whenever I'm at the lights! In fact, I wanna tango with the female passenger as well! :lol2::lol2::lol2:

But I think of the fact the V power beri expensive now and I refrained from urge to tango :furious:

Re: Run-in 335

What are the instructions:

a. Not to exceed 3k rpm for 1k km or

b. Not to exceed 3k rpm for 1.5k km or

a. Not to exceed 4k rpm for 1k km or

a. Not to exceed 4k rpm for 1.5k km

Thanks.

Re: Run-in 335

Try to keep below 4k RPM for first 1k mileage.......

Re: Run-in 335

The key word here is try : )

Manual says below 4k rpm and 1500km after which you can slowly up the rev. For normal daily driving, you would not be able to exceed these anyway so just be a little patient, if not organise a nite drive for all those still running in their cars : )

Re: Run-in 335

Thanks. Didnt know it is in the manual. Was told to burn the manual. My daily drive to work is about 5km one way. So hv been driving around the various expressways at night to reach 1.5k km, averaging 150km per nite. The 335 has positive effect on my driving habit. I have become more rule abidding and not dash when there is an amber light. So I can be first at the traffic light.

Mine is 1.8Km each way, so I know how you feel. Been tempted to go buy milk in Tampines and bread in Tuas :lol2: :screwedu:

Think we need a break-in drive around Singapore.

Re: Run-in 335

Doesn't matter if u have to keep ur revs under 4k... U are already in your power band, so tango all the way! :)

I kept my revs under 4k rpm for the 1st 2,000km, after that, I try to be keep my revs above that! :)

Re: Run-in 335

My SE told me not to exceed 4k rpm and 160km/h for first 2,000km.

Re: Run-in 335

I have a ex-mechanic friend from C&C told me that it is better to change engine oil straight after the break-in period (in this forum, it is 2K). Do you guys think it is necessary? He also advise to change engine oil every 10K-15K instead of 20K-25K. What do you guys think?

I intend to change oil after maybe 3000km and every 7500km after that. For turbo-charged cars, I prefer to change oil regularly.

Re: Run-in 335

And I am assuming you guys didn't go back to PML to do the oil change? Which engine oil are you using?
