I saw an advertisement on F355 Spider going at $228,000. Singapore Used Car. Ferrari F355 Spider (COE till 11/2014) Sale by Owner - sgCarMart

Just wonder how many years had the F360 been out since its launch? Pretty keen to get a COE F360 / Gallardo but just wonder how much it will be said 3 years from now?

Also considering on the Gallardo, how many years had the car been out? Since 2000? How much do you think will be selling 3 years from now?

Looking forward to the insights by our forum member.

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

since when gallardo out in 2000? its 2004. 360 Modena should be since 99.

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

F355 & F360 different class like E36 & E46 :) but Modena with COE gonna be high price !

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

I am no Ferrari-enthu, but for $2xxk its a good price for a car which has a very much larger road presence.

A good head turner, esp its a spider...

drive another 2-3 years, lup another 20k coe and your effective depre can be as low as $15k / yr.

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

F355's one of the most beautiful Ferrari's ever imo.

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

so rich...can buy pallali...

i can only dream of 348 and 328,,,let alone 355/360

Re: Ferrari F355 Spider - COE

I think the amt of $$ we wanna spend on something would be proportionate to value we see in it.

We would feel that its under-valued if the cp is lower than our precieved value, in this case the ferrari.

That's my friend's car before & I just saw it on Sgcarmart :) . He spent a fair deal doing a new cabin, belt job etc before selling it off. Think it's got 2 more owners since. I wanted to buy this almost 4yrs ago but didn't have the money then. Please send the car for a chassis alignment check before committing.

360s came in 1999. I found one & passed it to my friend last year, a manual for under S$300K & with a COE renewal, it can be well under S$300K in 2009 (very good deal but rare). There were 6 manuals, 4 coupes & 2 spiders. One got written off & some probably got exported. 360s can be had for under S$300K when they're due for COE renewal but avoid the pre-02/3 F1s & make sure you get a proper history check as some has history waiting to be uncovered. One strange thing is 355s seem to defy logic by keeping value. None has gone under S$200K so far but I suspect that future 360s will push them down soon. One issue is that 360 has a lot of electronics that can be problematic & expensive to fix. If I'm not wrong, there are probably 3 ECUs, one pair for the engine, one for suspension & one for the dash unit.

There are probably 3 GTS, 2 berlinettas & 2 spiders left. The 355 has one of the best sound track IMO. Very high pitch f1 sound. But beware that a factory air-con replacement unit can be S$15K as they don't sell in bits, you need to change the entire unit. It can be replaced with a japanese system for under S$5K.

Gallardos came in mid 2004. You'll need to wait a long time for COE renewal or even for it to drop below S$400K. OMV is mid to high S$200K! Most are E gears with about 4 manual around.

With the number of Gallardos that's on sale now, I think there's an oversupply. There's at least 10 Gallardos used every weekend in the market. Some will need to be exported for sure. If you're lucky, picking one up between low to mid $400k should not be an issue, esp with the non-facelifted ones. Ferrari are much rarer so should hold their value better.
