I have been quite smittened by the new RR Evoque. What do you guys think the price will be?

Also, how is after-sales service and cost of parts? Any opinion?

Re: Range Rover Evoque

Ooooo nice!

Re: Range Rover Evoque

Does anyone has any experience with the AD for Land/ Range Rover? Is it Wearnes? Are they like the notorious PML? if there is any car that will pull me away from German marques, this will be it.

Re: Range Rover Evoque

The Evoque has been highly praised by the British motoring press. They claim it has the most luxurious interior, the best road handling, powerful engines...etc.

I think its because the whole future of Land Rover and its factories and the people that work for it lies solely on the Evoque. If it tanks, lots of people will be out of a job.

Just tried it today and honestly, i think its slightly above average. NOT as great as how the british press review it, but slightly above the competition.

Here's my inputs :

Exterior : Way above the competition
Interior: $15k bucket seat option a must. Mixture of eco friendly materials and plasticky bits. Large touchscreen. Slightly above that of the Q3
Steering feel/ Driving Dynamics : Better than the competition but new X3 wins hands down

Its pretty good compared to an Lexus RX270/ Audi Q3 / BMW X3.

Wife prefers the Range Rover Sport but that's a different price category. Will she buy the Evoque today ? Probably not the first batch, we'll like to see how reliable this new model is before taking the plunge.

Re: Range Rover Evoque

i actually bought a copy of Torque to which had Evoque on the cover.
lookz sooooo nice.
sloping rear looks like a hot hatch rather than a suv.
i am also v tempted. just sold my e60......
going for test drive next week n see the options available.

Yes, but do not forget that this is a British-made and they are damned proud of Brit-made cars. You can hear it in Top Gear if you know what I mean. I am trying to get some reviews from the US magazines and hopefully, the comments are positive.

For a simple sporty cross-over (is that what they call it?), a 2WD version should be sufficient to turn heads... :) . The 2.0T petrol with 240 hp is very attractive.

Re: Range Rover Evoque

Test drove the Pure model today. Must say that the drive is better than I had expected of an SUV. This car certainly looks different from mainstream SUVs and is definitely a head-turner. Price tag is 225k after discount and OMV is around 50k.

Is it a downgrade from a Bimmer to a Range Rover? I am happy with my car but this one is like a chiobu beckoning you to take her to bed. KNN. :)

Re: Range Rover Evoque

what is the pure model? what is missing?

320i to evoque definitely upgrade

Re: Range Rover Evoque

Actually in Sg you need 4WD for wat?

There was an X1 next to the RR Evoque and I begin to realise how hideous the X1 is...:(
