Radial Spoke 196

Hi Bro

Today I saw this E90 (blue colour) in the showroom (Alexandra) and it is having the above rim. My question is can the E90 320i take a 19' rim? What is the correct size if we want both performance and comfort? Anyone ever fix their E90 320 with 19" rim.

Anyone seen the Radial spoke 216? It comes only in 18 inches, it is a perfect match for E90 320i? Will the power affected?

Re: Radial Spoke 196

I saw it too. On a blue 320i which is in front of the 323 and 325 on display. I asked the SE Chio Bu wont this be heavy n she aid yes it is heavy ! now I do not know much abt lowering cars but from the look of it the car wasnt lowered. The 19" rims[5 spokes] did make the car look very nice indeed, very proportional and looks better than pics of 3 series with 19" I saw on varies forums. Maybe they do look better in real life. I would be willing to get something similar even for trading off some potential loss of powerful due to heavier rims.

Anyway I also spoke to one of their CSA, Adrian...nice guy. He said they dont know whats the weight of the stock RFTs but was told they are indeed a lot heavier than conventional tyres. In fact I was thinking, if one could really get light forged rims and performance type tyres of 19", it may not really make the lower models of 3 series more sluggish if the 16/17" RFTs plus their OEM Rims are really heavy.

Way to go?

I was thinking since when did BMW-SG's Mr. Nice Guy become PML's SA..... or is it all guys called Adrian are nice guys huh? :lol2:

Anyway so as not to OT, the E90 3 Series can be fitted with 19 inches rims, and the 5-spoke ones should be style 199, while 196 refers to a multi-spoke 18 inch rims. Got this info from the 2006 3 Series Accesories Brochure.
