Venue : Arena/Kartright
Time : 9.00am - 11.00am
Date : 8 Nov 2009
Attire : Race Suit, Full Face Helmut and Shoes. (or Long Sleeved Shirt and Jeans, if no race suit)

ok guys, this is the deal...

1. There will be at least 2 racing karts available for test drives. These are the 26hp CRG karts.
2. There may be one GP kart also available. Will confirm by tomorrow.
3. You need to buy a "membership" with Kartright for $50 (mainly as an entry fee and for insurance purposes).
4. The hourly charges ($20/hr x 2hrs), mechanics and fuel will be borne by my friend.
5. If we limit the test group to 4 karters, each karter should have around 30-40mins of track time.
6. If the 3rd kart is confirmed, then we can have 6-8 karters.
7. If you're already a member, this session is free for you.

considering the $35/10mins for a 8hp kart, versus this $50/30-40mins for a 26hp kart (+membership), sounds pretty good...

there's a corporate event from 11plus to 12plus, then the race karts take over at 2pm.

Thanks Ed and the gang for arranging this event. I'm sure everyone enjoyed it... The karts are powerful..

Re: Race Kart Test Session on 8 Nov 2009 at 9.00am

Thanks a lot for the session Ed! Really enjoyed myself...

One helluva upper body workout as well. :D

Re: Race Kart Test Session on 8 Nov 2009 at 9.00am

Thanks Edwin and Raymond, certainly nice karts!

Never thought there'd be such a difference between an '04 (mine) and '09 (yours) Rotax Max engine despite Rotax claiming no peak power gain over the years. Even if true there has to be increased power width. Or perhaps also over the years our engine just lost power gradually with rebuilds, etc. Either way.. your karts have real strong mid range! Lovely..

Guys, you have to try Ed's karts if he organizes future sessions like this. The session is free if you're already a kartright member, and essentially free if not (just a one time $50 annual membership) . There's no better deal anywhere. No one else I know of, allows full on test drives in serious race karts, completely without intense pressure to buy immediately after the test.
