Questions on BMW

Hi everyone

I don't know if this is the right place to post my questions, so if its in the wrong place perhaps Mods can move my thread to the right place. Also if what I do is not allowed also let me know. Thanks.
Anyway, am doing my marketing project, and am suppose to do a report on BMW's marketing efforts and stuffs, so thought this might be a good place for me to get info i need since most of you here are BMW owners.

Just a few questions.
1) Currently the assembly of BMW cars are done where?? I know cars like Toyota are assemble in Thailand, which as a result give ppl a very poor feeling of quality. So wondering if BMW will also have such problem.

2) Why do want to own a BMW, given that theres also lots of luxury car around like merc, lexus and stuffs. Is it becos of the look, model etc..etc...

3) BMW used to have a range the traffic police were using as their expressway patrol, what is the model series, and from when it start using BMW and when it stop.

Just these 2 questions for a start.

1) Do your work and google it.

2) The look, the handling and it was a good buy.

3) They were the E30 and some E36 3 Series.

Not really sure, but I saw some scrapyard in Kranji area with lots of old bimmers.. so I can quite safely say, they are also dis-assembled in Singapore

Yes there are but I couldn't afford those, cost not many made it as good running cars after 10 years..I can't afford to buy new u see.

Don't exactly know when they started using those.. but I know if they starts following you and they also stop when you do... you are in great trouble. Also they may have renew the COE for at least one of them coz just last month I did see a E36 around KJE. hmmmmm.. as to when they started using the bimmers.. I guess after they introduce the COE system.. lots of money was made I supposed.
