Question on tyres (116i)

Hi guys,

It's about time to change my tyres and I'm looking at Michelin PS3. Is 225/45/R17 the correct size to purchase? Is there anything that I should look out for? And any stores to recommend for good pricing?

My car is stock and current tyre size is 205/50/R17. Not looking for Run flat tyres.

Sorry for the noob questions. Thanks in advance.

The stock rim is not really wide enough to put on 225/45R17.
Stick to 205/50R17 tyre.

BTW din you notice there is a sticker stating the correct tire size and pressure on your B pillar ?

if your stock(original) rim got 7inch width can take 225/45/17 tyre
otherwise stick to 205/50/17 best

Hmm, just wondering are your tires run-flat? Might want to get the one that's the same as your current stock. Isn't it potenza or some sort? Pardon me as I assume 116i and 118i has the same tire used.
