question on DCT torque limit

hi guys have a quick question here. Is it true all the DCT cars have a torque limit of 375lb/ft? And if so, what if the reflash/piggyback is giving me more that that amount? Any way I can increase the limit with a transmission reflash ?

A dreaded question asked 2 years back worldwide by ZF gearbox owners. 2 years since, many are still running torque levels way above those ZF stipulated threshold level.

Not sure about DCT, but 375 lb/ft is 500 NM, way above the supposedly 450 NM threshold on the ZF.

Flash or piggy, the thing to watch is the torque spike and the boost levels. Yield on the N54 is great, but watch those PSI levels. Above 15 PSI (about 1 bar), those wastegates will be at risk.

ZF gearboxes can take 20%+ above their recommended limit.

also depends on how u drive...release throttle slightly before changing gear will def prolong it.

just a bit concerned about any long term adverse effects of running it with hgiher boost and all.

Keep it within or at most 15 PSI and you will be fine.......

what is DCT and how does this new transmission work? i mean the pros & cons as compared to the older transmission.
