cant tell from the fotos. u got to put ur hand into the inside grooves. ur car shud hv camber. the inside groove has a tyre wear indicator. typically 30k time to change.

from pics, looks like still can ride with these...perhaps i'm wrong but thought that only when the arrow is worn/touching thread then tyres need to change....??

actually the TWI (there are six on each tyre) tells you the location of the rib in the middle section of the tyre. You have to run your finger along the middle section to feel it. If there is a gap of > 5mm between the surface and the TWI, it is probably still ok to drive.

thanks in this case mine still can be used for another 2-3 months then. it'd have clocked about 23k km for it's lifespan by then.

Falken 452 is usually a rather long lasting tyre... 1 year 20K n it's worn? (heavy car?)

i remember my friend's 452. 40K n it had plenty of thread to drive on. he changed it out just to try something else. (maybe cos it's on a japanese lighter 1.2ton car?)

what's the tyre thread thru out the tyre? if more than 4mm, drive on. if less than that. recommended to change it out soon. (change it out when it goes to under 3mm.)
