the rim looks like it is still chipped quite badly despite having the protector. worse is the protector snap out (am i right?) and spin to scratch the surrounding fender...did the protector sit in properly to begin with? or is this a high impact kerbing?
i almost want to install this.

Yes the rim was chipped as well. It was installed properly as well. I think the end of the rim protector the kerb that's why it came off and I can't remove the whole protector as it was very tight. Just have to drive home while knowing that it was scratching my car . Remove the whole protector the next day to notice that the rim was damage as well.
Won't bother to install again as they don't sell one piece . It comes in a set of 4.

when i first saw this...i din like the clip thing to close the ends...so basically there are certain spots u can kerb and certain spots u cant(at the clip joint)
this protector is cheaper than my BBS rim protector-per strip abt 130 with installation.

There was a previous thread on this by another member who installed this protector thingy. It was a double whammy for him as the protector din performed as per expectation and ended up with bruised protector and rim curbed. Sad to say, your case has upped the ante .... a triple whammy....protector + rim + paintwork.....gosh .... I really feel for u :verysad::verysad::verysad:
