After coming to almost 3 yrs of ownership of my 116i and enduring multiple trips to the service centre for defects rectifications(some of which are repetitive),finally the last 2 problems that happened a couple of days back took its toll on my ride...failed transmission and engine overheat..and these coming after my car had just gone a full vehicle inspection 2months before (with a lot of bang table due to many problems on d car with the manager)..looks like this could spell d end of my affiliation with the bmw branding...any of u guys share d same problematic issues with ur ride?would love to hear from you all...

Car is no problem... problem is the PML people ... they know nothing about BMW ... Even when my vanos bolt broken, car can still drive ... they diagnostic no error code ... test drive and still say normal...
These people are either dunno how to work a BMW or they never drive one. (no say look down on them).

Installed a New DME without asking me and hence changing the drivability or characteristic still shift the blame on us. Their mistake we have to shoulder. Car when in and coming out dirty and dents and scratch.
Cars have no issues is the people touching the car.
Spit at PML team.

Add : takes 1 month plus to resolve VAnos bolt issue.
2 weeks to park the car without touching and say they trying to resolve the car DME ....
Warranty parts they change a lot for me ... nothing to praise them since this is warranty covered.
CSo dun return calls and tell lies ...

I kinda agree wif your sentiment bro...in fact not juz PML but i'm pretty sure its d same situation with other AD Centres...when it comes to warranty issues,it always comes to having a tug&war session with the advisors on resolving our concerns,even pertaining to repeat problems after being repaired by them!Sometimes i wondered if its really worthwhile the extra dough to cough up to buy from agent when i could save a significant amount to get an alternative PI model and juz go to a preferred workshop for my car servicing n repairs...

Warranty issues is fine ... cos vanos bolt issue they resolve by getting me upgraded version not just the bolt only.
What pisses me off is they smoke me, lie to me, updating the car DME without asking the owner! There is no human rights here.
Now they in a way tell me after not touching my car for 14 days to go outside and resolve myself.
Always question them back and they will think twice or have to check again ... instead of sticking of the words they blurred out earlier.
Talk to a dog is much easier than talking to them. If cannot do why waste 13 days to try to resolve. Tell them how to fix it they have to check with BMW Asia.
Even the Vanos recall i reported to them in April and till july then they know about it ... Working for BMW dunno what is happening.
BMW is a great car. it is just how they service it how they treat each enquiry. I notice alot of MPs drive BMW too. I am sure they get the car done the german way. For layman like us they feel we are just adding work to them no matter you drive a 7 series or a 1series.
My warranty has ended. My car just left PML today. I have to get the unresolved things done by a third party workshop which i dun mind paying.
