Problem with CD deck US market

Hello,

:helpp!:needed.

Have had a problem with the radio after replacing the Cassette desk with a CD deck (Model CD53 for E39/E53, Part No. 65. 12-6916 241) bought from US. Radio is no longer able to tune into even frequencies. E.g. Class 95. It stops short at odd frequency 94.9 MHz.

It baffles me as the CD deck is a standalone from the MID radio panel. Really appreciate if anyone knows of a fix or an audio ship I can look to

Cheers.

i think you should search around the net. i remember reading somewhere a while back about a special menu by pressing a sequence of buttons on the head unit which allows you to change change region between europe and japan that might solve this tuning problem....

Bro kuvesh, you are the man! Didn't take me much time to find the solution. And it's not difficult, really. Below are the steps for those who may need it in future.

1. Key to Position 1. (Steering released)
2. Radio on
3. Press and hold "m" butten. For my unit, it happens to be the radio manual tuning button.
4. First up, the Serial No., follow by Year of Manufacturer, DSP setting, etc.
5. Scroll on until you see Region - US, Europe, Japan, OCE, Canada
6. Europe and OCE seem to work well, but I settled for OCE, incidentally for Oceania/AP

Probelm solved. :woottt:
