Problem with car remote

Hi guys, not sure if this is a problem or not but whenever i want to unlock or lock my car, i have to stand quite close to my car for it to do so (roughly about 1m). Is it normal or my car remote battery is weak alr? Both keys also has the same problem. I am driving a e90 lci without comfort access.
