Problem Starting Your Car at Tims and Vibration when idling?

I had this problem with my E39. Changed plugs, clean ICV, change coils ...... nothing works....

Thus I decide to change my ICV and my throttle sensor. Went to Eng Soon and spend $180 on a new ICV and $70 on a new sensor. Swap out the parts at the carpark.... Hmm..... seems to work. I start the engine almost instantly. Just crank and engine starts. No problem. Tried 3 times and no problem!!

When engine is idle at the traffic light, the vibration seems to disappear as well. Back then, the vibration is so pronounced that I can even see my driver side mirror vibrating. Now seems to be ok already. Will continue to monitor for the next few days to see what happens.... Hopefully this will solve my problems.

What is ICV? My 1 month old 323i also got vibration problem. Not so obvious as yours though.

ya, what's ICV? is it the MAF we talked about?

my 1.5yr old 523 throttle seems not that sensitive compared to when its new, is it that there's wearing or ageing of the throttle sensor causing this?
