err the thought just popped up so I'll just mention it now...

all the cabrio/convertible guys please be extra careful. rolling a car in the gravel pits at sepang can be very bad and very possibly fatal - esp if you are tall and your head goes considerably above the plane from windshield edge to either bootlid edge or roll hoop edge.

be safe, have fun!

yes, i was just going to post that. thanks a lot alvin.

unless we have a better and convenient alternative, we can all just sit at the alfresco area of kallang macs. we shall do some briefing for those new to tracking, and to let all of us know one another better before the event.

so for those in the sepang confirmed list, pls try your best to turn up at the meetup and also to stay on for the dinner session.

also, those who are interested to go as passengers/spectators, also come along for convoy briefing.

as for helmet, i shall post the exact address of where some of us bought our helmets from, as soon as i get it. it is in yew tee industrial park. alternatively, you can also get it anywhere else you want, but just remember to turn up at sepang with a helmet if you intend to drive or taxi in the track itself.

hahah good one :) though the hood or top, isn't going to hold up under the car's weight.

RB is right though. Apologies to whoever.. didn't mean to be alarmist - just wanted to provide (or even just repeat) a little info that might not have been considered strongly enough. It sounds extremely basic but i've seen guys at trackdays go off into the barriers on the 1st warmup lap of the day in just the 2nd turn even after being briefed multiple times.

but aiyah I'm probably worrying for nothing.. all those lao jiaos RB, Alan, KL, will probably talk about it at the dinner.

cheers doc!

be safe, have fun :wavey:

AFAIC no matter who is on track, if everyone has fun and comes back with cars and selves, as they left, then it was good trackday.

barry, no worries u should be able to have members' access in a short while. read about the sepang track day and join us if you can.

this is good advice!! saftety comes first. we all wanna go there in one piece, have fun at the track, and return intact (both car and driver/passenger).

as always, just drive at our own pace and within our comfort zone... this is not a race... nobody will laugh at you for being slow. :)
