1. Me: the headlight cover is dirty from inside. Two years ago, when i came for first servicing, Christopher Brown said will be looking into this. Told me to come back sort it out before my warranty expires.

PML: Oh, this one is common to BMW. Nothing they can do. It's manufacturing problem.

2. My auto-headlight is too sensitive. If I stop at a traffic-light and a bus stops next to me, the bus shadow will also trigger my headlight.

PML: Oh, this one standard one. Nothing to adjust. Once the bus moves off, the lights will go off.

3. My driver seat beat kenna jammed three times. I came back three times for your staff to release already. They told me to bring this matter up at Servicing time.

PML: Oh, there's a proper way to release seat belts. After wards, when you collect your car, I will teach you how to use the seatbeat.

I am guessing the PML SAs are trained like helpdesk officers, they gonna study a set of Q&A... I rem the last time before my warrenty going to be over... Say this 'its is normal' la, say that ' its ok' la... Till I TL bang table, the "KNNBCCB" syllabus almost wanna come out... And the SA just sat there, looked at his PC and act blur... He winner... I read from what one bro here did was, talked to SA and nothing can be done, double confirm and still cannot be done... He walked to the showroom area and approached those new customers looking at the cars, brought them to the servicing bay and looked at his car and told what PML refuses to do with the defects and advised them to think twice about purchasing BMW, the SA immediately everything "can be done" :) whoever that bro is, I salute you  You give me this idea, I am ok to talk to strangers... :shoot:PML, dun play punk with us

Re: PML staff "well trained"" with well-rehearsed answers.

When it comes to service, it all boils down to the Person who is serving you. I noticed that the chinese advisors, not all but some like to use the term its Normal. Or its like that one. The ones whom gave me way better service are the malays and indians. My previous SA who left is Aidiel, the current SA whom I find is good is Singha. They are polite, never tell me its normal and they always get things done 99% of the time. Of cos there are times when things are not done or not rectified to my satisfaction but on my follow up visit, they will rectify it properly.

They are not perfect, I'm not pro PML or whatsoever but I just sharing my experiences. I do get my fair share of "Good" service at times also but never to the extent where I have to bang table to get things done.

PML handbook page 1 to page 100 says That's normal ? :shhhh:

haa haa, anyways I find the term:"Its Normal." very irritating. I remember when I first got my E90, there was alot of creaking sounds in the interior, during my first service, I asked how come so much creaking sounds? The SA immediately replied:"Its Normal la." And gave me the can you pls get it over and done with so I can get bk to my job look. I was pretty pissed but I didnt say much.

On my 2nd service, I highlighted this again, my then SA Aidiel immediately replied:" no problem sir, I will get our guys to paste the friction tape, easy job." During collection he said:" Sir, you please monitor, if got more sounds, please come back, I will get our guys to repaste again." Now that is good customer service. From then on I stuck to him till he left a few months back......

Re: PML staff "well trained"" with well-rehearsed answers.

Aidiel is a good SA. Pity he left. When he was around, all my servicing was attended by him. Helps also when he was my neighbor ;)
Very on the ball person.

Re: PML staff "well trained"" with well-rehearsed answers.

So now, who's left that is still good?

What about the new Service Manager, Dennis Sim?

Yeah he is very good, he is my friend's Police Colleague during their NSF days. Both my friend's E90 and mine were all attended to by him. Very good SA. Glad to know Aidiel gave consistent service to everyone. :)

Dennis and the lady who sits in the next office are just the same, always show attitude and couldnt care less face. I have alot of my experience with PML. Some problems lasted for 6 months and I was still given the merry go round. At times I could be seated at the waiting area for one full day only to find out they only washed my car and not solved or investigate my car's list of problems.

Very close to expiring warranty. I panicked and lodged a report and things only started to moved but still at a slow pace. I was eventually given a courtesy car to use. SA who attended to me before: Aidil (very good. He automatically tell me what needs to be repaired), Anthony (damn suay, first time go to him and kena engine oil bottle left on my seat and oil flowing out), Teo (small built chap who wasn't convinced that oil leaking from under my car even I had photos to proved. He merely dig with his fingers and say no leak), Arman (initially gave me all the assurance he is the best and I gave him alot of time (months). However, nothing was repaired or investigated and I was taken for a ride many times. At times I would drive down daily when problems arise and they recorded the problems but i left my car there for 5 days (when he needed only 3), my car was only partially repaired. I was WTF. This went on for many months.

My suggestion: you know that booking a slot for servicing and repair takes months. I booked myself a slot every month in advance for 5 months. Also bugged them for a courtesy car or at least taxi vouchers. They will give bcos I only realize I could ask and was given.

you win liao !

Any bros with warranty expiring will thank me for this. Hehe. Although I have bad experiences there I must say 3 people gave me the best impression. The Chinese coffee auntie (who always know what I like to drink and very automatic), the Malay guy at parts counter, the Malay receptionist who is always sincere.

The sales people also jialat. Asked them to help book taxi bcos receptionists left for the day and it was raining cats and dogs. She told me to go get my own taxi. I say WTF and another female customer also yelled WTF. I was surprised I had supporter. :)
