PML distributorship at stake

Hey you guys saw the paper today - "Sime's status as exclusive BMW agent in the balance"

Read and heard so much complains about PML sloppy job and elusive waranty claims.
Now's the wake up call to them ....

If the new agent manage to take away distributorship for M cars, wonder what can happen next.
Maybe BMW feels that PML is not working hard enough to sell their M cars.

Anyway its going to be interesting for us and should be in consumer's favour.

how to just take up distributorship for the M series? it doesn't sound economically viable for anyone to do so.

Consider this. So few M cars sold each year, but BMW will require you to set up a workshop to their standard. BMW will also need you to invest in a decent showroom.

Unless it is parellel imports, i will find it hard to snatch anything away from PML at this point of time. Singapore is just too small a market for 2 distributors
