Anybody got experience on the disc brake and brake pad..?? What brand of disc brake and brake pad are most credibility? Where i can searh for cheaper shop in S'pore for this two items?? Currently driving e39 523i..Thanks.

Hi, Bro

For good and affordable setup, you can try Ferodo brake pad which grip well and zimmerman cross-drilled disc rotor (recommended by Wheels magazine last time)

For budget setup, you can go for oem brake pad like Jurid, Textar, ATE etc cost ard $50 & stock rotor of brembo made cost ard $60-70.

The above price is based on past purchased for my e36 and I think price is higher for e39.

For list of supplier, you can go to bmw-sg homepage look under resouces.

oem pads are dusty like hell, but they also have better bite.....

right now i'm looking for some zimmerman's or brembos, drilled though... anyone got some leads? PM me if u feel its inconvenient to post pls.

How come Goldenlink put $196 for front brake disc but other hand BMW East Coast Centre put $282 for the same product? I am wondering are they the same ori product?

Original the best. Try changing to 4 pot disc and calipers. Had mine previous E39 done with labour about $700.

$700 for front brake disc include caliper??

Yup. Plus getting it fix by mechanic.

For sure the braking distance shorter and better. If not won't be worth $700, might as well used it to party.... Haha.
