Hi folks.

As promised in my offset question thread, here are the pictures of my new wheels which I installed today.

Instead of just posting pictures of the wheels, I thought it would be more meaningful if I share some pics of the suspension lowering process as well. So here goes.

Stock suspension from Daihatsu diesel lorry:

Koni FSD's ands Eibach Prokit springs:

30 mins after suspension change:

2 weeks after suspension change and installation of ACS mirrors:

Unveiling of new wheels:

Mounting them suckers:

Peek at the FSD's and Prokit and rust while wheels are off:

Tadah!

I know it looks a bit incomplete without a kit, but Wilson's Mtech II kit is being painted now at Yew Lip, and installation should be on Monday. I'll post some more pics then.

Cheers,

CBS man dude your wheels are sick very sick. what I like about it is that it sets you from the other modder. Like your guitar playing, YOU ARE THE MAN. Looking forward to see more comprehensive modding.

Re: Pictures as promised...

Re: Pictures as promised...

bro

when i changed to Eibach ProKit, i was hunting around for matching shocks.

thats when i read nice reviews on FSD, but i realized that most of the cars were not lowered.

so i approached koni in the USA and posed that question abt using FSD with ProKit...the reply came back that the FSD was not meant to be used with lowered springs coz it cant travel as much after hitting a bump.

That maybe true, but it works for me. Also many people have been running this setup with no problems.

Re: Pictures as promised...

Thanks! That was the reason I bought them instead of the usual suspects.

I was really after set of BBS CH's and when I saw these, I thought they were perfect. Custom CH spoke pattern based 3-piece rims with lip. I know these are the only ones here at the moment and that adds to the appeal.

I didn't use a weighing machine but I carried one with the tyre mounted and compared it with apiece of my old 17" M68 with tyre, and as far as I can tell, my butt, no, my arm weighing machine says they are about the same weight. That's a nice bonus.

This is the company that makes them:

They will suit any application as they are custom made. You tell them what you want (as in offset, width...etc) and they cut them for you.

Chicken backside
Thanks for sharing mod pics. This is what I truly like....share and share to make the forum more informative and useful, not just words all around.

Re: Pictures as promised...

Thanks guys.

I know the wheels will not suit everyone's taste, but pics of the process will definitely be of some use to someone.

By the way Jack, you were my inspiration for ordering the Vorsteiner bonnet for my car. I just hope they've refined the fitment issues even more for the sedan version. It'll be here in 3 weeks according to Barry. Thanks for all your help!
