Not completely true.

In order to have good handling & stability, jus by upgrading ur suspension is not enough, u have to get ur ARB upgraded as well. As the suspension wld only give u a stiffer ride and reduce minimal flex/lift.

Need to upgrade ARB, lower your ride and get wider tyres to enhance stability during cornering..

But by lowering per se will already see some imnprovements. But u will have to put up with some sacrifices like ride comfort, exercise care in clearing humps etc.

That's true bro..Won't disagree with you on that. Just that adding in the ARBs and wider tyres ought to give you a better "feel" and lesser flex when cornering.

BMW stuff is really good. I always maintain that if a BMW is going to be street driven only, then it is fine as it is. Save the money.

in any case, just adding lowering springs and changing to 17" will give you a big leap in improvement already.

i advise you to only change the suspension ONLY if you are already driving and passing the handling limit of the original suspension. if not, stock is best.

i am currently on 18", i like to pick up speed during cornerin...tats the reason why i interested to know if changing my suspension would improve the cornerin...

Hi, I guess it depends on how hard do you intend to corner? ARB reduce body roll especially when going through a series of bends. If you had stock suspension and just cornering one particular bend vs ARB on that bend then the difference in cornering speed may not be much just more body roll without ARB but defintely better with ARB when you track. Tyres play a significant amount as the grip varies with the type and brand of tyres eg semi-slicks.

Camber angles will also affect your cornering performance. By changing your suspension , the ride height is also decreased (CG slightly lower also). Normally there will be a different set of camber recommended but I guess by trial and error you will be able to find one that optimises your particular suspension and tyre set up. With height adjustable suspension and variable damping rates more factors come into play.

Cheers 8)
