Bru,

1) Spray the entire thing black. BTW, how did you prime the coat?
2) There are 6 clips beneath the grills. Lift up the bonnet and unclip the grill. Buy one kopi and a nasi goreng for me and I can do it for you in 1 minute.

BTW, it should be spelled "ideal" not "idea". Toot.

Cheers

Recently I have DIY the chrome grill painting from chrome to black(the surrounding), but I didnt paint the internal grill. Now the question is that what is the IDEA combo set, as follows :-

1) Surronding black, grill (stock) black (without black paint)

2) Surronding black, grill chrome.

3) Surronding black, grill spray with black paint.

Lastly, can anyone direct or advise me how to dismantle the front grill?

:errr:

Like Kenn said, pop the hood and unclip from the back. Be careful cuz after a while, the clips are brittle from the heat of the engine bay so if u apply too much pressure, the clips may break. One of mine broke but didn't make a diff, the grill is still quite secure.

As for the colour combo, I suggest all black, both surround and slants!

Cheers!

Brusssssss, u suan me ah, never mind. I will not teach you by using two fingers for unclipping the hook method.

Anyway, as Sam mentioned the clip are brittle, I think is not that simple. Should I unclip the surround from the grill then after unclip from the grill itself? Kenn San care to advise!!!

The best advise in this case is to demo.

When you free?

Remove the whole grill 1st and then pull it apart. Much easier this way. If u want to spray it yourself, its better to sand down the chrome so that the paint has a better surface to stick to. Prime it and then spray it black. If u want matt black, then just spray matt black. If u want gloss, just spray a layer of gloss over the black. Done!

Sam, my Rain Man brother might not comprehend what you have just explained.

Sigh.
