Other exhaust or metal shops

I've been quite disappointed with the workmanship I'm seeing from so called 'big three' exhaust shops in Singapore. Shoddy welding, uneven tips, severe rusting, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows other good metal work shops in Singapore that do exhaust work to recommend.

Are you talking about FK, JC and M? Care to share your grievances?

kenn man,

Just personal experience and observations on other members' rides. I would avoid going back to them if I could.

Ah di eh, li mm see hua F1 zhao chia leh!!! Lim peh last time dubbadew arler X also eng Ah Man welding goh eh sai too si bah kwee beh lart.....

Anyway in English, to my personal knowledge if I'm right, perfect welders are more commonly found in shipyards?

Perhaps wot u saw happened to hv been welded by a less experienced guy in one of those shops coz so far, as far as forum threads go, nobody has really expressed much concern at all...

Good example is welding of tips....
Few things that can happen here...some are welded protruding too out some are too in...who's to blame? Well, cud be the owner of the car wants it this way or that way...Hence before you know that the one of the shops did a lousy job, perhaps there could be other reason too.

Having said that...if say u aint satisfied with the work done, you can always go back to the same shop to sort it out till you like it perfect and I am sure it's FOC.

My car don't have big big turbo like your WRX. Every little bit counts.

Very troublesome to keep going back even though it's free. Wasting my time. Better things to do than wait around in the dusty workshop. I want to get it right, the first time. Keep cutting and welding also not good for the exhaust.

Barry ah hia, le eh hok kian kan si lan tok kong, ka nah 330 engine ah neh bo bay zao.

Zi eh forum du liao Hymics hok kian siang hoh dio si le liao. Clap clap. Sart sart. Mai seow seow.

Pai seh, ah Simon hia. Wa ta pai sio kong le si jia kang tang eh mah. Ma la eh jai le ma si hok kian peng.

Oh. Mai buay kee hor. Boh chu teng is Porchay hor. Emm si wa hor. Wa tao mor zuay zuay......

Hahahaha yea, I remember hearing from Ah Man dat the best welders (including titanium welding) are more commonly found in shipyards. Mainly cause they have to be perfect and definitely last a long long time.... They can't afford to have the ship sink transporting BMWs for us now can we hehehe

Seriously bro, no puns intended nor offensive words, for our daily street and occasional speeding vehicles, that little bit of welding error you were telling me about earlier is'nt going to affect your performance that greatly.

Well I mean we're not talking millimetre perfection here compared to F1 machines.

If those SMSA war machines can make do with FK or JC or Man exhaust weldings, I dun see why we can't.

Unless of course if your exhaust is dangling on 1 side or that the welding is really as bad as when you're trying to PCC after peeling chilli padis.... *Ouch*
