Which engine type ? Maybe overfilled the engine oil ?

its an e60 n52 engine.. its been checked by PML and BVO.. only solution according to both is to change the engine cover..

Maybe they got a second hand one in their store somewhere (BVO). Worth asking ..... when changing the cover do they need to change any gaskets along the way ? Or would just changing the gaskets would help ?

Did you spill out a bit of the engine oil when you top up?
I spill like 200-300cc of oil when topping up by myself and when back in pml for svc they called me say gasket blown, need to keep my car 2 days for the change FOC as its under warranty.
I told them it could be a spill when i top up then they went to investigate and did not get back to me thereafter.
If its leaking, maybe you can request them to just change the rubber seal instead of the cover ?
Mine same engine have found one funny incident - when darryl from R2D remove my spark plug nearest to driver, there is thick engine oil in the spark plug chamber (only that one)
Made me wonder where else can our N52 leak out engine oil since that chamber is so far from the oil filler cap

that engine cover cost abt 700pls from eng soon. BUT NO Stock.
when changing the top cover, due to oil leakage, most likely also have to change plugcoil x 6, spark plugs x 6, gasket and ...........................1 bag of alum screws that need to be replaced when the top cover is taken out. and this cost $170!!!!

spark plugs and coilpack needs to change as well ? That's kind of subjective ..........
