oil leak from vanos?

hi, i recently realized that my engine was leaking eo but it wasn't the gasket as i just changed it recently.

according to the mech, its the 2 black clips that is at the front of the engine that is leaking.

anyone have any experience on this?

if its the 4-cyl 320.

quite normal. expect more...
last time change gaskets all over. until nothing left to change.

used to take it down to one of our resident bimmer gurus - Rod (R2D) @ Woodlands - he'll sort you out.

Can't rem. too many years ago... And prices might've shifted since.
So best just give your preferred BMW workshop, e.g. R2D in my case previously, a call.

It's not a fatal issue. But one of those many niggles you need to sort out.
Do keep an eye on the water hoses + radiator + overflow tank.
Good to do preventive maintenance on those. Else you'll get caught out when you least expect.

Usually the O Ring leaks due the wear and tear. They are very cheap to replace ranging $3-5 for the smaller size ones. >$30 for the bigger size one like crank shaft oil seal

Thanks for your advice guys.

Went to JB WCA to diagnose and fix the issues.

Turns out:
oil cap leak
valvetronic seals leak
gasket flange leak

Total damage RM$330, downtime 1 hour
