Oh NO!!That stupid light is blinking again.

Driving and cruisin. along then this little yellow light came on.
its in the centre if the console.
"A circle gear with an exclamation light". It says in the manual that it is an electronics problem in the transmission.
Send to mechanic and prepare money???
Anyone knows what it actually is??

I felt that I lost power once the light came on. Poor acceleration.
Any ideas plzz help...

Haiz... forgot to mention its a e36,316i auto transmission, with 4 wheels.

Transmission issue..get it looked at ASAP!

It happen to my E46 sometimes , when after a heavy rain , but after a few hour then is ok ..

It could be low tranny oil, problem with your auto-trans (usually torque converter) or a wet ECU. Go get it check as it may developed into more serious problem if situation allowed to prolong.

Actually, it happens to me when theres a loss of traction. also when conditions are wet.

for example, in the carpark. when i see a puddle of water... i'll purposely accelerate harder when im above it. den that icon pops up.

also, when i do quick cornerings... when there's a little slide.. it lights up too.
dont know whether its the case for u guys?

all to do with the transmission, could be low on oil, ECU kok up or worst case senario whole tranny kok up.
