I have some questions regarding headunits and screen and hope the experience members can help.
I have a old 523i with the smaller screen and no reverse camera.
So my main concern is the reverse camera and wanted to add one.
Have been asking some shop owners who does BMWs and they recommend me to change to a CIC 10inch screen first before i can install the rear cam and connect to it.
I have been seeing some owners selling their stock 10" CIC screen.
Question:
1. Are these screens plug and play?
2. Do I need any software update?
3. Is it compatible?
I also notice that some 3rd party android units can connect to 3rd party reverse camera.
