Those using non-CA remote key with rechargeable batttery may have been told that if your battery goes kaput you would have to order a new remote at the cost of $450++. There is a cheaper alternative - cut open your remote and transfer the board and chip to a new casing which can be opened-up (repeatedly) and resolder a new rechargeable one - all for half the price. In future should anything happen to your battery you need only replace it and not the whole remote. Do note that the rechargeable battery is not sold OTC and costs about $80.
