Newbie questions

Hi. I can't seem to find answers using search for the following questions. Maybe the old birds can help?

1.) I noticed that there are quite a few site sponsors that offer installation service of white LED/HID angel lights. Stock angel lights are yellow and look darn ugly. Can anyone who had done this conversion before advise on which workshop to go to? Dos and don'ts? Any complications?

2.) Would changing to aftermarket drop-in filter or a cold air intake system or Nology plugs affect PML's warranty on the ride? Are they very firm about such simple mods?

Mine is E82 135i btw. Thanks guys. :D

Hi Drk,

1) for Angel eyes light you can try BOSS Motorsports: 6459 0038 call for a quote (Nick or Calvin)

2) Changing to aftermarket air-filter and plugs, so far so good for me...............
* but whatever is not stock definitely there will be some risk involved if something is to happen to the engine ( touch wood ) . PML might blame the plugs or the air-filter for the cause of certain faulty or etc etc.......they are very good at coming up with story.....but i am pretty sure this simple mods will not cause any parts to go faulty......

if you worried then stay stock for this portion first.

cheers

Re: Newbie questions

Does anyone know where I can go to replace the chrome metal pieces around my door windows with its black equivalent? Chrome looks yuckie and black is much nicer.. cheers.

Re: Newbie questions

yellow headlights are more visible in foggy/misty/rainy conditions. White lights are harder to spot in bad conditions thats y its yellow OEM for safety.

You can change it at PML, but it will cost you a bomb. Parts plus clips, no labour is in excess of $1500.

Alternative - tape it up with Oracal vinyl, like this:
