***newbie, need help on iphone bluetooth pairing to 730Li

hi, just bought my 3 yrs old 730Li. can we pair up our iPhone 3GS to our car, 730li via bluetooth? it is asking for iphone bluetooth passkey. have tried 0000, 1234, 9999 but still failed to connect the bluetooth. anyone can help? thnx, allen

1. Click on "i" in your i-drive

2. Select Bluetooth

3. Select Pair new phone

4. Turn on your iphone to discoverable (It will detect your BMW. Select that)

5. Key in 000 (or any passkey) in your i-drive

6. When prompted, key in the same in your iphone (This step always forget)

7. System will tell you paired.

mine was 0404 (or 4040, cant remember, either one of the 2). Hope this helps.

You mean there's a fixed combination? Strange, mine works with any number

thnx. called PML and was told to look for a radio card in the manuel. saw the unit 4 -digit passkey for my E66. all ok now.
