still think its not as fun for keen driving though, dun like it that it'll still shift up when u try to over-rev and havto slow down to the right speed for it to downshift

There will always be manual purists and auto-fanatics! But its good to know that autos are definitely getting more efficient!

true i guess, it takes a bit of getting used to, havto slow down earlier for the gear to drop b4 goin into the corners den havto be careful not too over-rev when charging hard in case it auto-shifts up...

wld be nice if had a mode to allow a level of over-rev-ing... just a bit wld be nice

great article with some important info! now owners will know how far they can push their cars before they exceed the torque limit of their gearboxes.

I think efficiency and speed of transmission and shifting, only important to some people. A lot of people have a manual for the fun of it, just like we buy automatic mechanical chronographs instead of digital quartz watches.

i agree, but i'm glad that technological advances are being made in auto transmissions so that when i grow old and arthritic, i'll still be able to enjoy a sporty drive.

btw, have you got the time? my sun dial's not working... :nehnehhh:

Max of 700nm of torque... I wonder if the rest of the car can take that amount of stress...

sorry, I was driving on NS highway, straight road, watch ran out of reserve power because hand never move, now my time is off.
