After waiting for ages and ages, I FINALLY got these babies fitted yesterday at Boss Motorsports..
Rear spring installed.
Sorry forgot to take pictures of the rest of the installation.
Sorry about the picture quality.. forgot to bring a proper camera so made do with the one on my phone.
These are made by KW and are (from what I read) equivalent to KW V1. They're slightly cheaper because of cheaper materials, but are still backed by KW quality and TUV certification.
The TUV cert is included in the package.
I dropped the ride by about 2 cm and it now looks damn swee! Will post pictures later. The ride is really comfortable, a bit firmer than stock. I was very pleasantly surprised.. my main fear was that it was going to be bone-jarring.. but it's not. It's really sweet.
Have only driven about 100+km right now, but I took the chance to throw it around some corners and handling is very very good. The steering feels a little bit lighter, which I initially didn't like, but when I threw it around one of those tightening-corner on-ramps at the BKE, the steering was amazingly sharp and precise. Despite the tightening corner I could accelerate into the turn with perfect control.
The only thing was that the stuff in my boot was sliding across my luggage net.. ouch.. and I was sliding out of my seat.
I really need better seats.
As I said earlier, I initially didn't like the lighter steering wheel feel, but it actually made going around corners much easier. My only complaint right now is that the suspension squeeks slightly going over humps, but I guess this will disappear as they get run-in.
Thanks once again to Nic and Kelvin for their excellent, speedy service! Nic added his "special formula" to my wheel alignment so that it handles even better.
I _THINK_ they have one more set of Weitecs (not exactly the same I think: mine is height and rebound adjustable. The other set is only height adjustable). This is a huge opportunity because it takes between 3-5 months to arrive.. :woottt:
