Got it for ~30k cheaper vs new....not bad for a 6 mth old :) I think.

630 are rare cause alot of people who like the 6 already got the 645 when launched...give another couple of months I m sure alot will start to surface.

If ,for example, you have 140k budget, will you buy a brand new E90 320i or a used E46 330 (3 to 5 years, 1 owner, low mileage)

I never believe in used car but seems like there are many good bargains out there nowadays. Sometimes when i see ppl driving a Z4 or 330 but pay around th same money, kind of regret. What is your take on this? new or used?

I would definitely buy used, assumin condition is good. In fact, I had the same budget of 140K n I bot a 3 year old E65 730IA 5months ago. Reali gd deal I felt. Also, as some of the bros here know, I bot my E90 320IA used when it was 6 mths old. Reali gd deal again there I felt.

Buyin used also allows me to change my rides reali often. In fact, I bot my E34, E36, E46 sedan, boxster all used, less then 2 years old when bot. Only exception was my E46 cab and my MPVs, which were new and the most painful financially, expectedly. For now I decided to stick to the used route......

1 piece of advice....can request to send in car for evaluation at your workshop b4 payin deposit. That can save u some headaches when buyin used. of course, u pay the evaluation fee....

My 2 cents

Cheers

Re: New or used??

what is the rule of thumb when buying used? is it advisable to buy if the car is more than 3 years old?

Because of the rule changes for PARF rebate, the cutoff time for sale for most cars is 5 years old. If you buy 2nd hand, you should be able to drive it for 2 years or so then start to sell at 4.75 years old.

That gives you the rule of thumb that you should buy at 2.75 years old max.

To be precise bro, u hav to buy those rides before about April 2004. These are the rides with 65% parf at the 10th year. Those after comes with the 55% parf, making it harder to export n deregister. of course, the COE n body values come into play as well. Gd luck!

Cheers

Agreed. How else can you change and mod and change and mod every 2 years, given my humble peasant income?
