Hi to all, i am getting a used E90 and thus will need the help of all experts here when problem arises. This is the first time I am owning a bimmer. Although the ride I am going to get is already 8 years old, I do hope it will last until scrap.

Haven't bought it yet right? Ask the dealer to allow you to send it to one of our site sponsor workshops for a full inspection. The small fee is worth it to catch any big issues the car may have.

Thanks to all the bros, really feel nice to be part of the family. I already paid a deposit before realising there is this active forum around. I did check for leakage at the top gasket and found it to be dry. The worrying part now is the gearbox. I did some test drives and to me it seems ok. How else can I determine a faulty or going to give way gearbox? what esle should I look out for when I collect the car?

Hmm. If there's something major, it may cost more than the deposit. Since you haven't paid full, maybe can still consider sending. Talk to your dealer. Fee isn't much.

Depending on mileage, i would not buy 8 yr old BMW on this island. It is likely that previous owner(s) sian with the repair work required.

I have bought a brand new f10 also got problem, not to mention a 8 year bimmer. Just forget about the down payment, I am afraid u might need to fork out more for future repair. Cut loss bro!

Oh my goodness gracious.....is it reallt that terrible....i am really hooked to the e90.....no wonder i see more e90in sgcarmart than on the road. I am really vexed

Just send in to site sponsor workshop for a peace of mind. With the checkup u can decide to abort, proceed (and negotiate) with the sale.

For instant gratification - do an upskirt of the ride.

Here's something I took sometime back as a sample ...... start near the oil filter housing. Then go below and film.

If you see what is filmed ...... its not good. Notice how the visible parts are all shiny and clean ..... Dealers can only hide so much ....

Bro, dats what i did before i get my ride... open the bonnet n realised oil leak... ask the seller to fix it b4 closed deal....
