Re: new beemer owner to be

thinking of getting a new sets of wheels but dunno where to go and size to go. on stock one is 16 inch.

Re: new beemer owner to be

Checking under the Workshops & Help link on top of this forum.

19" rims will be perfect for the E90, but you need to compromise on FC, which will suffer significantly. If FC is a concern to you, perhaps 18" should be considered. Also, there are some light weight rims in the market.

Any brands you had in mind already? Staggered or Non-staggered? Deep dish?

Go all the way to 19" - little impact on FC - am running at ard 9.3km/l.
Excellent road-holding, even better if with staggered.
Look for Raymond at Ray-S - tel: 63422328.

wah bro....a bit "cheem" for me. 18" should be just right for me. what do you mean by staggered and deep dish?

Re: new beemer owner to be

Hi,

Welcome to the club...
I think 18" should be good enough. Mine is a 18" E90... FC is abt 9.1km/l

Re: new beemer owner to be

Hi all,, currently own a E39 520i.... formerly,, driven an E36 for about 6 yrs....
:)

Re: new beemer owner to be

Yup, Red3er bro is right. Staggered means the front and rear rims are of different width, with rear rims wider than the front.

Deep dish rims are those with the lips. Have you made your choice yet ?

not yet. i still considering it. maybe will drive with stock rims for a while first.

Re: new beemer owner to be

What I learn from various rim shops is that most of the BMW staggered rims are wider, by 1/2 inch, for the rear wheels, as compared to the front rims. This will create better grip on the road, especially for initial and rapid acceleration, and the ride is smoother during cruising.

Re: new beemer owner to be

Dun consider too long, it reduces your enjoyment hours per dollar paid.

Re: new beemer owner to be

hi
I'm also looking at the 320i pro. But why 3 weeks? the SE promised that she can get it done in 14 days

Re: new beemer owner to be

Hallo bros & sis,

Am getting my 320I next week, heard a little about the noise with the factory fitted run-flat tyres.
Is it really bad or there is actually not much difference. Pls enlighten me. Thanx ah!
