new audi a6 vs 520i

hi guys,

i am a bmw fan currently driving 320i

i test driven the new 2012 audi a6 2.0 tfsi....MAN.....its quite a car..serious!
i feel it is quieter, agiler (got such word?), faster

making my decision to buy the new 520i really hard
would like to hear from views from bros who have tested the new audi a6

Buy something you like and prefer, from what you have mentioned, it seems you prefer the A6 C7 2.0 TFSI. Then go ahead. There was a review somewhere between a A6 C7 3.0TFSI and the 535i F10 and the A6 came out tops. Now the A6 C7 relegated the 535i to 2nd place. But of cos take such reviews with a pinch of salt.

Most impt you must like it.

Yes, I think only the 3.0T is equipped with the Quattro Drive Train.

Ok la, I think shld be alright one driving on normal roads hee hee

I understand your dilemma. I put myself into your shoes and I came to the following points:-

1) F10 front and rear is nice and I like it more IMHO.

2) A6 C7 in the same category is more powerful, front is nice but the rear not so nice. Interior
pretty good but I prefer F10 interior.

3) A6 C7 can be MTM by AD and still have support from AD. More bang for buck in power stakes.

4) F10 can be chipped up but no more warranty.

Should I go for nicer design overall F10 IMO or should I go for not bad design overall C7 but more powerful?

Wah headache haa haa. You should test drive both again back to back, go try out the 99 bends for both cars, try out the handling, performance and the abilities of both cars but of cos not cheong round the bends, but push the car abit, feel the car's feedback, etc.

After which go home relax and see after 3 days, which car you are still thinking of, then that is the car you should buy.

yes! a6 front is the killer, but butt is disappointing esp in comparision to the upcoming A5 facelift.
interior-wise the all-grey a6 is quite refreshing

How about going for the A5 Sportback? I think it looks as impressive as the new A6, and it comes with both quattro and DSG.

DSG to harness the low end torque of the turbocharged engine.

quattro to command so many horses. wet weather drive is very impressive.

I had test drive all three latest A6 models. Unless u r getting the 3.0 version. Nothing to compare. I had the A6 2.0 MTM chip up version in 2009-2010. Ya done by AD, but I need to sign a stake of papers so that the AD can void the warranty if chip up option screwed up. second, if it is power u r after try the Jag 2.2 turbo diesel even better value for $. Last the A6 will spinning the frnt wheels when u put yr foot down to take off. The Audi SE will tell u, FWD mah, live with it.... Else go for AWD.

yes a5 very chio and in fact having promo now, priced close to a6 2.0
but...its not the new 6points front grille (as in latest a6)

the a5 facelift (with 6points front grille) only comes q2 2012 and its looks really awesome
