New - 335 or 320 Cab

hope all is well. Intending to purchase a cabrio, either a 335 or a 320. yes, i know they are extremes thus the choice.

reviews on both please.

- reliability
- performance
- built quality
-etc

i have tested 2 335 and 1 320.

PI and agent, OMV about there. PI seems to have more options though

If you can afford the initial and running costs of a 335, why would you even consider a 320? The 320 is decently fast and comfortable, but the 335 is waaaaay more fun.

I have a 320, only because a 335 would cost me the equivalent of a Toyota Corolla extra, and I'm a slow lazy driver anyway. My driving idol is James May!

Reliability and built quality doesn't really differ much. As pointed out already, the only big difference is in performance and if that is what matter to you, then go for the 335, cos the 320 just doesn't kick it unless you like it slow, or are prepared to spend money modding, in which case the cost will probably bring you up there anyway.

PI vs agent... well, got a few threads debating the pros and cons. But I reckon with the money saved from PI, it's enough to cover any added benefits from PML, and unless you are going to keep the car beyond 5 years, I don't think there will be much issue with maintenance.

Anyway, if you are looking for PI, PM me. I just got my car from one, and I was pretty happy with the salesman and overall package. Last I looked, they still have a few units of 320 and 335 left. Haha, I don't think I'm allowed to do any advertising here, so PM me and I will give you his contact.

I think it is alright to share your good experience with a PI and to disclose the name, which is not considered advertising.....the whole forum is actually full of commendations on workshops, spray paint shop, groomers, tyre shops, etc...so please share ya......

Same car different capacity and performance.......

When you buy a thumb drive, you either buy based on (1) need for extra gigabytes or (2) budget.

If your need 32 GB, you will not be looking at 16 GB.

If you have only a budget for 8 GB, you will not be looking at 32 GB.

Put both together and you will see the whole picture.....

Its a weird comparison....320i and 335i too extreme...my take is E93 must be at least a 325i else you wont own it for long.....

bro u comparing apple vs orange. i suggest u go for 320 coz the fact that u can even consider it, means ure performance expectations are not high, so just go for the lowest cost. Ive a fren with a 325 & now regretting performance. 320 u wont compare since its no race to begin with plus u can book a better hotel room for your flings with the $ saved

Heh, it's The Car Regency at AML... 2nd floor shop, cos that is for new cars. The salesman is Joeson, he had a ready unit and delivered within 1 week, price was pretty good with no hidden costs, I managed to get a few goodies too...

LOL, so yea, just go look for him, and if you wanna, mention my name. ^_^

Hi Bros of 335i owners,

I am thinking of buying a 2nd hand 335i. Car is from PML with a fairly low mileage of about 12K km per annum.

I have heard of horror stories of BMW. Would appreciate if bros here can share with me the reliability of 335i.
