Re: Need Your Advice on BMW 318/320

BMW 318IA Details (Benchmark Motoring) - sgCarMart
Depreciation $7,869.
Problem is mileage is unknown.

BMW 318IA Details (Fabulous Automobile Pte Ltd) - sgCarMart
If you can decrease price to $80k, depreciation is $7,964. Mileage is alright.
I like this one 'cause it is black :)

BMW 320IA Details (Owner) - sgCarMart
Paiseh, not expert on E90....so cannot give advice. Cannot compare apple against orange :)

BMW 318IA Details (GreatDeal Motors Trading) - sgCarMart
Depreciation $8,171.

My 318 depreciation is $7.5k but spent $5k to replace wear & tear due to high mileage. So if you are looking for E46, i suggest 320, less problem. 318 got inherent leaking problem - oil, water, coolent, all kinds of fluids la....
Ask for $2k off listed price :)

Who is Bill? nice fella?
Bill was Sandy's name before she did the conversion. Don't believe me you call her Bill next time, guarantee she'll turn her head and say "Yes, Phil, AGM?" :nehnehhh:

Re: Need Your Advice on BMW 318/320

Phil.. his metal rod leaking badly.. must have gone 30+ time service.. hence chalking up the bill... :D

Everytime I see Sandy's legs in my signature, it leaks incontrollably. It's all jawzsg's fault for coming out with such sexy legs:drool:

can attest to that...

but should be the same for all beemers nowadays. used to drive the e30 and e36. they were built like tanks - taxi rear-ended my e30 once and i was fearing the worst, cos i could see from my rearview mirror that his bloody radiator had burst. didn't get out of my car for a while. but luckily only had a very slight dent on my rear bumper.

nowadays, almost everything is made out of plastic, even the bloody radiator housing. my ride had so many problems after inspection 2 - gaskets, housings, even the bloody coolant tank was leaking. like green blood spilling out of the car :(

things start to corrode and deteriorate after 4+ years. talked to other bm drivers and workshops. might be the hot weather. or simply the manufacturer making sure that they continue to make money from us  not like the old days where you can drive a car without major problems for a longer time. these days things are simply not made to last.

having said that, am quite sure that it's not peculiar to beemers. cos other cars experience the same thing.

the best is to drive the car you are interested in buying to one of the workshops for a thorough check before you sign on the dotted line. better safe than sorry...

but once you own a bmw, you'll never drive another car...
