Need some help from the bros here!

Had a little accident with a cab at newton circus few months back.
Was going into the round-about from Bukit Timah Rd (From CTE to Bukit Timah direction) which is the entrance with Newton Food center on its left.
After I got onto the round-about, the cab cut from the inner lane out to Clemenceau Ave.
So my bumper hit the ass of the damn cab. To be exact my front right rub his rear left.
To my impression the round-about's Clemenceau exit is single lane, so is the cab allow to just cut from inside of the round-about to the exit?

Just received the report from my insurance company ytd which is 3 months plus after the incident. How come took so long ah? Thought wanna claim must be within 24 hours?

Can bros suggest wad i can do? Is it my responsibility or can argue the case? It was only paint scratch n a little dent on his bumper, the claim was 4k plus. WTH?

insurance co will say in order not to escalate unnecessary legal costs, they have decide to pay the party.....at your ncd expense of cos...keke

too difficult to prove anything at that roundabout unless you have third party witnesses supporting you.

once your front touch the other guy's backside... it is almost a strict liability case, meaning, it is your fault... unfortunately.

You don't have the right to fight or contest the claim amount, unless you do it at your own cost, for the benefit of the insurer. No point.

$4k is about right. They will charge you for the repair of the bumper.... the lost of income for the driver. The lost of rental charges for the taxi company.

Unfortunately, the worst person to get involved in a accident with is Taxis.

the cab per day is $90+ + lost of income, so 4K just abt there. Lucky not Benz or hyundai. There are taxi driver who make $400 nett per day less rental + diesel. so if he repaired 4days already $2K....
u can fight by engage lawyer but eventually u may need spend more for such small incident. In car insurance claim, u hit other backside u confirm 99% losing side. so better move on, next time ask the taxi driver to settle on the spot, they have this agreement in their cab, just sign & settle in cash. some more is a old toyota cab lagi cheap to repair & settle outside !

My friend also hit a comfort taxi last 4months ago along battery road... The fault was my friend cos he came out from the car park (UOB) going into the main road and did not see the oncoming taxi. 'Banged' and hit the right side of the front bumper of the comfort taxi.. ...the driver asked my friend that he wants to repair and claim, Daily expenses, rentals, etcs....came out to be thousands... Actually the damaged is only a Dent in the front bumper ..Guess taxi driver lazy and want to claim all the expenses so he can off for days....Initially he die die want to go workshop ( did tell hm that its only a dent and the taxi still can move and even take passenger ), My friend called his workshop and managed to get a 2nd hand bumper for the taxi driver...The taxi driver very reluctant and we settle for $150 only...hehe
