hi,

does anyone own a E36 - 318(M) - 1992-3 ??

wat is the technical specification ?? 4/8 valves or 4/16 valves ??

It is a SOHC or DOHC ??

Also, does anyone knw wat is the cost like to convert a Auto to Manual ?? Any work shop 2 recommend ??

cos me was thinking of getting a COE BMW but hesitate it should b 318(M) or 320(A) - but convert to manual ....

Bore/Stroke 84x81
Displacement 1796cc
Compression Ratio 10.0:1
Fuel Injected Bosch ML-Montronic
Engine Mgmt Sys. Digital Motor Electronics with direct ignition, adaptive control, self-diagnosis capability

Performance
Acceleration (0-60mph in secs)

Manual: 9.9 (1992-1995), 8.5(1996), 9.9 (1997)

Automatic: 11.4 (1993), 10.9 (1994-1995), 10.6 (1996), 9.8(1997), 10.8 (1998).

Some established workshops can do the tranny conversion, namely Juzz4Car and BVO
