Need help with insurance claim

Hi, any brother here got lawyer friends, or any lawyer here? I need to seek some help with regards to an insurance claim case.

This is what happen:

I ran over a big piece of brick , causing damage to both my front and rear right tyres and wheels. The road lamp was not functioning and thus I was not able to see and avoid the brick in time.

I lodged the incident with the authorities and was referred to insurance claim. After many months of waiting, the insurance rejected my claim, stating that they are unable to attach any negligence on their Insured’s part.

So now, I hope I can hear some opinion if this is true, or is the insurance trying to get away. Basically, I want to know if I have a case.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Need help with insurance claim

You should consult a lawyer.

Whether you now have a case depends on what evidence you had obtained of that day of the place where the alleged incident happened and how it had direct impact on the damage to your car.

Re: Need help with insurance claim

Honestly, the best advise I reckon the forum can give you is to engage a lawyer. Good luck

Need help with insurance claim

LTA would ask for evidence ..... Did you keep the brick ? And can you prove the brick is linked to the LTA.

I think we need a CSI team ....

Common sense tells us this is called "failing to keep a proper lookout."

If visibility was poor, you're supposed to slow down. What if it was a drunk man lying on the road instead of a stray brick? Still can make a claim for your wheels?

I've never hit a pothole hard enough to damage my car. Because I know what to do when visibility is poor or when I can't see the road condition.

Re: Need help with insurance claim

There are those who hit potholes and there are those who hit lightpoles.

Can the lambo guy sue LTA for putting the lightpole there?
