Need help on E46 audio..

Hi guys.planning to change my factory bmw audio unit to a aftermarket Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD unit. Need some advise on where to purchase the aftermarket dash kit panel to fit in the Pioneer HU and can the existing wire harness be compatiable to the Pioneer unit or do i have to purchase additional harness to make the Pioneer HU work?

btw after i install the Pioneer HU can my multi function on my steering wheel still works?

Need advise as my car is not local and i am thinking of purchasing the relevent parts and harnesses..If you guys have a ICE shop that are familar with BMW audio and stuffs please pm me..Many help appreciated..

Most audio shop will have the fit to house the 1-Din head unit. It's not cheap though, in the range of $80 to $100 for the housing

Your steering will not work unless you purchase the adaptor but it's pretty difficult to find, at least for Alpine, in Singapore.

Go into the resources page to find the regular ICE shop in sg.

You will need the Scorche housing kit... approx between $75 to $100... Scorche also makes the steering remote kit at about $150 - $170... you should be able to find them at Autobacs Bukit Batok "Ice" Department at level two.... Alternatively... go to Auto Accoustics at Florence road along Upper Serangoon road, look for Ah Chuan... he should be able to help you... remember seeing the two items there a week back...

Do they have the steering control at Autobac also ? If so, i would like to get hold of 1.

Oh btw for our factory harness to fit that aftermarket HU we need to purchase another set of harness?? i believe that the orginal harness will not fit the HU at all.. any idea what is the harness called so i can tell the shop that i need that as well..thks..
