Any of the 135i boys tried Meth/water Injection? care to share some of your experience?

It is similar to water injection, only difference is the liquid. I actually used the lesser cousin of meth i.e. Ethanol, in my previous force induction ride, the liquid was introduced directly (kinda liquid mist) to e cylinders (E82 is e charge pipe). I used ethanol bcos readily available from a friend FOC but freaking troublesome bcos of e need to refill e liquid. Anyway this is illegal and as illegal as NOS... too bad we live in SG.chesterchong;1052418 said:Any of the 135i boys tried Meth/water Injection? care to share some of your experience?

Oh btw, meth or ethanol effectively raises the fuel RON to abt 105 thus we get upto 50-100bhp subjected to base engine capacity. Such injection r used commonly in other countries bcos those fellows uses RON 91 plus meth injection to get RON105, a far cheaper option than using race fuel... but in SG we r already using RON98... an increase of 7RON for all e trouble is.........
This works on e simple basic/logic of: The increased effective octane ratio in air/fuel ratio, we can add more boost to power.
Anything else u wana know? FYI, I dont use it in my current ride... i m retired frm modding plus its illegal and too troublesome imho.
No one would use meth injection for that purpose right? The poison comes from the desire for more power lorRed_Bean_Bun;1064045 said:The RON is one thing but one could use it to keep help the intake valves clean .....

However the cooling effects which allow greater compression ratios by reducing engine knocking which in turn could result in performance gains is the devil's advocate :|
But in SG, again it is just not worth it imho... knn garmen of SG.
But it is illegal leh, how?Red_Bean_Bun;1064051 said:Frankly, I might consider that just for maintenance purposes if I could find meth here.
For those with a tune - it's an added bonus.
But hey .... That's just me. I am big on maintenance........

U got to ask LTA or MOT... I m not e knn garmen.Red_Bean_Bun;1064057 said:Why would it be illegal ?

All e best Bro, MTL!Red_Bean_Bun;1064192 said:I inject what into my intake manifold they want to bother meh .....
Intake mods are legal. Meth is sold commercially. I think should be ok unless you store more than 20L at home then you need a license from SCDF for having a seemingly large volume of hazmat stuff stored in the same location......
Haha !

ASP friend told me water injection is not illegal and application is not illegal, meth injection is legal to sell, NOS is legal to sell, installing meth injection for use is another matter, same goes to NOS. He is into mods and still loves mods (unlike me, m retired) and he wishes anyone into meth injection GL, smooth sailing and may e ride(s) has/have anti-white ants aura.
hmmmmmm, mod is in e blood and modding is another matter altogetherRed_Bean_Bun;1064221 said:You don't sound like mod retired, bro ......
Still like going strong ......
