This posting is done on behalf of my friend..... I gave up on advising him, let him read himself.....

(1) Any private banker to recommend? He said he has S$2m to invest, but dunno any lobang, must come BMW-SG forum to seek advice. But want me to post. Main priority is capital preservation. Also, any property ideas?

(2) He is also looking at a F599, a F458 and the new Superleggera. Same dilemma, also must come BMW-SG forum for help. GTR also in his byo-list.

Please do NOT:

~ ask me why he can only come here for help, not Ferrarichat, not Porsche forum.
~ ask me why he can only consult with a car forum his investment plans, not a banker.

He say he cannot show face.

Any advice?

[I posted on his behalf, but if tua kang, is him, not me. Dun flame me !!!]

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

I know many many private bankers including those from blood bank and seow bank. Which bank he wants?

I oso know many many car dealers including those selling die-cast models. Which one he wants?

Terry...I will potong your PRC from you by telling her I have so much money to invest that I dunno where or how to invest them. Think I'll go my car forum and ask those guys there.

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

Looks like your friend is not going to get any good advice in this forum. If I have the money to spin, I will:
1) buy some stocks from down and not out companies, eg. BP.
2) buy a porsche pana (simi sai).
3) buy some flood-prone properties and sell high once PUB completes overhauling the drainage system.
I'm not a private banker hor. :)

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

I dunno what car he drives, Ed. This guy claims our forum is a good place to seek investment advice and what exotic cars to choose.

Wahahahahahaha...... I think it is an ego trip for him.

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

Kenn, direct her to Emma.

Legally trained, did pretty well as a private banker (made it to Citi's chairman's council or something like that in her first year after switching from the legal profession), poached several times by different banks before deciding to specialise in trust (so your friend can also do succession planning) and also dabbles in property herself (made $$ in every property so far, except for one which, to cut a long story short, was NOT purchased as an investment and was a 'deal' gone sour).

Plus she is chio. Though it's a moot point. Wahahaha!!

But then, after buying the F599 or F458, cannot qualify for PB status liao?

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

Looks like your friend doesn't trust you even thogh he knows you're in this line of work with many contacts.
Why don't you direct him to the guru aka trendmaster?

Re: My Friend's Dilemma

Ed/Rod, I dunno lah, it could be that he just wanna tell me how rich he is, or that he really need advices (but here ?)....

Then again, there are people asking how to invest $$$Xm here before, and there are questions on what exotics to choose from......... so it is not insane to ask questions like these in this forum......
