my e36 consumes fuel.

hi mates,
again thanx 4 havin me onboard this forum.
Now, If I may, can I seek some opinion on something that has been bothering me for some time now. It’s my e36, now It’s been consuming fuel. Please, correct me if I’m wrong.
My 325coupe consumes 58liters for 345km, now is this a norm? coz, some mates I know say they get more, say 500+km and more.

Now, I’ve changed [NEW]:
O2 sensor, Knock sensor, fuel filter, air filter….even a NEW gearbox to a NEW rear pipe with muffler [note: this is done not bcoz of the heavyfuel consumption. ]

Has anyone, faced this problem before? Any advise, mates

the manual e36s are getting a whole lot more fuel than us.
mine's auto but not such a big drinker compared to your 325.
it wouldn't hurt to get the fuel line portion checked out since u already did so much.
some of our e36 guys are having prata session in a while at geylang serai, the prata shop right b4 joo chiat complex.

change to a smaller set of rims....i changed mine from 18inch to 17inch...can add another 40-50km easily per full tank...

Then you change to 16" get another 50km, then change to 15" get another 50 km, then change to 14" yet another 50km... wah like this I want use wheelbarrow wheels.. can go 1000 + km on a tank leh..kekekekeke..

Need to know driving pattern and route u take to be able to compare apple to apple. If u drive like what we did during the meet up ,FC sure low .!!! Goat floored his paddel and I could see " black " smoke ! hahaha .Also ,change to bicycle tyre may help !!!

SANJAY... I don't have a 325, but mine is 316iM and gets around 500km per tank.

I do not know about a 325 but for high FC one of the cause is rubber hose conneting to the air mass sensor is broken. Last Sat I pump 56 ltr after travelling 600km (10.7km/ltr).

Wah Jin Teck ,your FC pretty good . Free gearing most of the time ????? My last iS 13 km /liter when cruise N-S highway ( 110km/hr ) with stock wheels .FC went South after changing to 18 inch staggered wheels !

thanx 4the invite, luv2 but that would me driving down from KL, anyway, thanx anyway maybe my next time down [which is sometime jun/july]sure2give u a puzz,buddy.
about the fuel line,NO FUEL smell,but NO harm givin it a check.

my air induction hose broken liaozzz.....the top portion connecting to the manifold melted....no wonder my vaccum guage shows leak somewhere. going to eng soon during lunch time to buy new replacement

seems to be getting better fc after changing the air induction hose leh, old one hardened liaozz
its the big fat hose connecting your manifold to the airflow sensor which then connects to your air filter
ya almost forgot, couldn't resist the temptation n bought a M3 Cf keychain at engsoon while buying the hose
