my E46 just died on me...suspect the aux fan was continuosly running even after ignition key was plugged out...how to rectify the fan prob???? help help help

If you wanna stop the fan from running yourself, U can disconnect the battery.

for new e46, go PML.
for old e46, go PROPEL.
for big cc e46, use the metal string to tie the fan then go big workshop.
for small cc e46, use the nylon string to tie the fan then go small workshop.
for no big not small cc, go JB.

If you don't know your car info, use VHF radio to call 'mayday-mayday-mayday'

Diagnostic:

relay on the fan is spoilt

Options:

- bypass a relay to control on/off for the fan in line with the ignition.

- change a new fan together with the relay

No, this will burn your ignition switch or relay if you bypass the high speed fan when you do long distance driving (one to two hours driving) in Malaysia.

bloody hell...my aux fan is new yet the relay died!!!! Crap....

just change the relay will do, if you did any bypass try to mod back to original wiring system as it can burn your whole car if you do long distance driving.

hmm you don't tell me what car you are driving i don't tell you lo. you must be usng the china-made relay la. the relay cannot stand heat then the relay contact point 30 and 87 contact close together all the time so you cannot off the fan hahaha.

wah you use the computer diagnostic some more no need one la.
