ya cannot use it here. U need BMW Assist account to make this work.

Doesn't make sense if only offered to US. Going to ask about the Assist account when i pick up my car next week.

Thanks Meek; Yeah appears so. My Samsung tv also can be controlled via app. Cannot imagine this being subscription based. This model won't work in this day and age

I mean the bmw assist account. This is equivalent to the AAS service...

I don't think the in-car sim card is ever activated in Singapore. I think BMW remote is using cellular signal (like GSM) to transmit your instruction to the car. Anyway, side track a bit, anyone know whether we can use RTTI (Real time traffic information) in our idrive system? Currently i only have TMC.

I have it installed on my iphone 5 but it does not work. You cannot start your car remotely and you cannot turn on the Aircon remotely to cool the car interior. Too bad.

If would be soooooo cool if the door lock/unlock, remote horn and flash headlights works.....
