my 18" BBS RGR coming in june

hi bros

after much consideration for 6 months on whether 18" or 19" and on whether AC or BBS,i finally decided on the 18" BBS RGR.reason being they are the lightest and 18" will be a bit more comfy than 19".they are 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear and weigh between 18 to 19 lbs each.

will be upgrading to koni FSD and steel brake lines too.

i think these will be the final mods that i will do.next mod will be getting 335 or cayman s.

hi

i calculated that i will save 27kg of unsprung weight,hopefully faster by 0.1 second.
but most importantly better comfort,road grip and handling.

my wheels coming next week too. 7k...more expensive than yours....and lighter...950grams only. bigger somemore..tyre profile 20mm.

nah,rgr 1.5 lbs lighter.but for 19" rgr 0.5 lb lighter.

Phil, this has been one of the biggest irony in modding our rides.

I have seen so many other cars - BMW or otherwise - trying to save and shave weights only to see the trunk so beautifully ICEd up. Those amps and subs are easily 15 to 20 kgs.......

yeah, some trade off!! To be honest, we all buy rims for what reason? to look cool. Dont get me wrong, I think it's good everyone is focusing on what they do, wether it's saves weight or whatever, but if we wanna go quick, i guess every little bit counts. Now, where my hacksaw

i wonder how good their rims are when they are going under... imagine the cost cutting... like mixing substandard grade metal with the other alloys to reduce costs... etc...lol

ok dremel oso can, but has it got 5 inch hole saw?
I doubt they materials would be inferior, they probably have ongoing contracts with material suppliers that would see them through.

ongoing contracts maybe but if the company cannot afford to pay the supplier then how?
