MWTS: new Z4 M steering wheel for e85

Have a brand new wheel in transit from the States. Originally meant for a friend but he is considering trading in his car, so this is likely to be available for sale.

Its the M steering with black stitching and no paddle shifters. Multi-function buttons included. Part number is 32307906780. see below pic for a rough guide to how it looks.

Even the SA at PML tells me its a fantastic mod for the car, and yes, my own order is also pending delivery. I've also read that the OEM paddle shifters on the facelifted si models can be transferred to this M wheel. Your friendly neighborhood mechanic should be able to install it easy, or you can even DIY.

Hoping to just cover costs, no profit. Cost is approximately SGD700 after shipping and taxes.

Interested parties, please email to motorknut at gmail dot com

Just checking , if i'm using a 2003 model without the functions on my current steering wheel, the functions on that steering wheel wouldnt work with mine?

Then the buttons won't work straight off the bat. BUT I did read off some forums that the Multi-function module can be retrofitted onto your car. Unless you like doing electrical wiring as a hobby, probably better to let a mechanic do the multi function retrofit for you.

There's even an instruction guide from BMW on how to do the wiring.

I think your Z4 is already pre-wired for the functions on the steering. The install should take 20 minutes......careful with the airbag.

Hmmmm, really? But my current steering wheel doesn't have the buttons. Maybe i could go down to boss to get it fitted. Hmmm

I think only the cars built in sept 2003 onwards are pre wired for multi function. Those are plug and play with the MF steering wheels.

idk if it's possible, but you could wire it to other stuff, maybe to trigger the sports mode button.

Then make that the magic 'M' button :p

Re: MWTS: new Z4 M steering wheel for e85

I think it might actually fit the e46 3 series, cos ive seen the e46 wheel transferred onto a z4.

Anyway, thanks for the interest. My friend has informed me the wheel has been sold.
