MTEC II bodykit needs sport springs to match?

Hi guys from far away Cyprus.

I have a 2000 320i, which I have purchased as an export from Singapore.

I really like the MTECII bodykit, and now they are on discount after the E90 came out, I am thinking of installing one.

Question is:
Will it look nice with standard suspension, or do I have to lower it in order to match?

Also, my car;s suspension feels quite stiff. I wonder if the Singapore supplied 320i;s came with the sport suspension as standard??( included in the price?)

Hi there,

are you on a Sports Package for your 320? If not, you might consider getting some M styling rims to start off with.

Some not all of Singapore's E46s do come with the sport suspension. Usually they come as a sports package, i.e. with the Mtec rims, M3 bootlid spoiler, M sports steering, sports suspension, sports seats, etc.

Kalimera!

Well, it boils down to personal preference. However, I have to say that the M-Tech II kit does make your car look more aggressive and by lowering your car, its definitely makes it nicer!

Sports suspension is not standard in 2000 320i, unless the previous ower has requested that option. If i'm not wrong, the last batch of sedans were fully loaded with options including sport suspension, M-Tech II kit, etc...

Cheerio!

Hi there! Everyone knows greek these days!!!tsts!:) At least some basic ones.

Regarding my car, it is strange that although the height is lower than a 318i, it is not that low.
BUT suspension is pretty rough...I am 80% sure it has the sport suspension. Is there a way I can verify it ?

Regarding the wheels, well, I have 17' ones. Maybe that causes the harsh ride?
Ride is harsh on rough surfaces(yeah we have alot here) but is really exceptional in good surfaces, providing endless levels of grip.

Kalimera! Tikanis?

I would assume that its the 17" wheels that is causing most of your discomfort as they have thinner sidewalls to absorb the impact of potholes, bumps and the like!
